Members of the Multinational Force and Observers (MFO) came together to celebrate a pivotal moment for the Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) during a recent medals and awards ceremony held in the Sinai Peninsula. The event marked the official transfer of authority from FijiBatt 43 to FijiBatt 44, with Lieutenant Colonel Viliame Naisau taking the helm as the new Contingent Commander of the Second Battalion Fiji Infantry Regiment.
In this significant ceremony, Warrant Officer Class One Laitia Liloma was appointed as the Regimental Sergeant Major, while Captain Reverend Josese Daveta was designated as Chaplain. Together, they will lead FijiBatt 44, continuing the legacy of dedicated service to international peacekeeping.
