The National Testing Agency (NTA) successfully released the results for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Undergraduates (NEET UG) 2025 on June 14, following its administration on May 4. This examination is highly significant as it determines the admissions of numerous aspiring medical students into MBBS, BDS, and other undergraduate medical programs across India.
Prior to the results, the NTA shared the provisional answer key and candidates’ OMR response sheets on June 3, allowing for a brief period during which candidates could raise objections concerning the answers. This procedure is standard, with the NTA typically taking about 7 to 10 days to review objections and finalize the answer key.
The NEET UG 2025 scorecard, available digitally, includes essential details such as subject-wise marks (Physics, Chemistry, Biology), total marks, percentile, All India Rank (AIR), qualifying status, and category-wise/state-wise ranks if applicable. The merit list, along with specific cut-off scores for different categories, will also accompany the results.
To access their results, candidates should follow a few straightforward steps: visiting the official NTA website, locating the NEET UG 2025 Result link, entering their application details, and downloading or printing their scorecard for future reference.
With the announcement of the results, the next phase will involve medical counselling. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will oversee counselling for the All India Quota (AIQ), while state authorities will manage counselling for their respective seats. The minimum qualifying percentiles remain at 50 for unreserved candidates and 40 for SC/ST/OBC candidates, though actual cut-off marks may fluctuate based on students’ performance.
This examination not only represents a crucial step for medical aspirants but also showcases their hard work and dedication. Students are encouraged to remain vigilant for updates from the NTA regarding the final answer key and other relevant information.
