A devastating road accident in the Nausori Highlands has taken the life of a 15-year-old male student, highlighting ongoing concerns about road safety in the region. The incident occurred when the student was traveling with seven others toward Nadi, and the driver lost control of the vehicle while navigating a steep descent.
The vehicle overturned, leading to all occupants being thrown from it before it fell nearly 100 meters down a cliff. Emergency services responded promptly, transporting the victims to Nadi Hospital, where the teenager tragically succumbed to his injuries upon arrival.
Among the other passengers, three individuals remain hospitalized but are currently reported to be in stable condition. The remaining occupants, including the driver, received medical treatment and have since been discharged.
