The Nasinu Volleyball Association is ramping up its activities with an exciting schedule ahead, starting with a Grassroots Volleyball tournament set for Saturday at the Vodafone Arena in Suva. The association is also gearing up for the highly anticipated Vanua Challenge later this month.

In a bid to foster community engagement and strengthen ties among its affiliated clubs, the association has partnered with the Fiji Sports Council to launch a month-long Grassroots Development Program. This initiative aims to provide top-notch facilities and high-intensity gameplay for the Tribal Risks NVA affiliated clubs, ensuring inclusivity for all participants.

Despite a tough loss in the recent Vulaca Volleyball Championship final against the Suva men’s team, the Nasinu Volleyball Alliance remains determined and focused in their preparations for upcoming challenges. Club president Matai Daulako expressed his appreciation for the support from affiliated clubs and emphasized the importance of trust and excellence within the association.

“This initiative allows our Tribal Risks NVA affiliated clubs to experience high-level facilities and intense gameplay, ensuring that no one is excluded,” Daulako stated. To further motivate and reward the players, the association has set up a substantial prize pool, with the men’s category offering $5,000 for the winner and $2,000 for the women’s category winner.

As they look towards the Vanua Challenge, the focus for the Tribal Risks NVA team is on tactical refinements and enhancing their match fitness. The program is designed to sharpen their skills and prepare them thoroughly for the competition ahead.

Daulako also took a moment to recognize the invaluable support from families, sponsors, and the community, highlighting the collaborative effort that has brought the association to this point. With backing from naming rights sponsor Tribal Risk PTE Ltd, along with the Fiji Sports Council, Kundan Singh, and Grace Road, the Nasinu Volleyball Association seems well-prepared to embrace the challenges ahead.
