The Nasinu Volleyball Association is invigorating its activities with an energetic lineup, starting with a Grassroots Volleyball tournament scheduled for Saturday at the Vodafone Arena in Suva. The association is also preparing for the much-anticipated Vanua Challenge later this month.

To enhance community involvement and reinforce connections among its affiliated clubs, the association has collaborated with the Fiji Sports Council to introduce a month-long Grassroots Development Program. This initiative aims to offer top-quality facilities and competitive gameplay for Tribal Risks NVA affiliated clubs, fostering inclusivity for all participants.

Despite facing a setback in the recent Vulaca Volleyball Championship final against the Suva men’s team, the Nasinu Volleyball Alliance is resolute and driven in their preparations for upcoming events. Club president Matai Daulako expressed gratitude for the ongoing support from affiliated clubs and underlined the significance of trust and excellence within the association.

“This initiative allows our Tribal Risks NVA affiliated clubs to experience high-level facilities and intense gameplay, ensuring that no one is excluded,” Daulako remarked. To further encourage and reward participants, the association has established a noteworthy prize pool, with the men’s category winner receiving $5,000 and the women’s category winner awarded $2,000.

As they turn their attention to the Vanua Challenge, the focus for the Tribal Risks NVA team will be on tactical adjustments and improving their match readiness. The program is structured to enhance their skills and fully prepare them for the forthcoming competitions.

Daulako also emphasized the crucial support from families, sponsors, and the broader community, recognizing the collective effort that has propelled the association forward. With backing from naming rights sponsor Tribal Risk PTE Ltd, alongside the Fiji Sports Council, Kundan Singh, and Grace Road, the Nasinu Volleyball Association appears well-equipped to confront the challenges that lie ahead. This proactive approach not only highlights their resilience but also illustrates their commitment to fostering a vibrant volleyball culture in the region.
