Nasinu Secondary School is gearing up for an exciting athletic season, placing a strong emphasis on its long-distance runners as it heads into the Suva Zone Two meet and the much-anticipated Fiji Finals. During the school’s recent inter-house competition held at HFC Bank Stadium, long-distance coach Munil Sami expressed optimism about the performance levels displayed by the athletes.

This year marks a new chapter for Nasinu as they have adopted a proactive approach by initiating their training immediately after the conclusion of the 2025 Fiji Finals. Coach Sami believes that starting early has been pivotal in enhancing the team’s depth and stamina ahead of the crucial competitions. Over his three years with the school, he has observed significant advancements in the long-distance program, with athletes progressively elevating their standards each season.

Sami highlighted that the team has been diligently preparing for both the zone competition and the Fiji Finals since last year, and they are eager to demonstrate the fruits of their labor in the upcoming weeks. The Suva Zone Two meet is set to take place next month, followed by the Fiji Finals scheduled from April 30 to May 2. The school community and supporters are poised with anticipation, looking forward to seeing how the dedicated training will translate into success on the track.
