Nasinu Festival 2025: Youth, Dreams and Unity Take Center Stage

The Minister for Education, Aseri Radrodro, addressed a lively crowd at the Valelevu Grounds, heralding the 2025 Nasinu Festival as “an evening for the youth, a celebration of dreams, energy, and unity.” The Minister emphasized the festival’s role as more than just a community celebration; it is an essential platform for youth development, promoting leadership, creativity, and active participation.

Radrodro highlighted the significance of collaboration between schools, families, and local authorities in fostering youth growth. He reiterated the Ministry of Education’s commitment to enhancing literacy and numeracy skills, empowering teachers through comprehensive training and resources, and improving school infrastructures. Furthermore, he pointed out the importance of expanding technical and vocational education (TVET), which opens new avenues for students.

He also urged students to embrace values such as respect, discipline, and service, as they are vital to their academic pursuits and overall character development. During his address, Radrodro commended both teachers and parents for their tireless efforts in nurturing Fiji’s future generations and recognized the Festival Queens for their leadership, encouraging them to leverage their platforms for community development.

The Minister called on the youth of Nasinu to harness their enthusiasm and talent to bring about positive changes in their communities. Additionally, he expressed gratitude towards the Nasinu Festival Charitable Trust, sponsors, judges, volunteers, and performers, including CIWA Music, for their invaluable contributions to the festival’s success.
