Nashville’s New Hotspot: Discover the Cutting-Edge Sound Experience at This Bar

Nashville, TN (August 19, 2024)—Lower Broadway in Nashville is recognized as a lively destination where visitors can unwind and enjoy themselves, and among the many venues vying for attention is Morgan Wallen’s This Bar and Tennessee Kitchen. This expansive six-story establishment is located just steps from the Ryman Auditorium and spans 30,000 square feet. It features a four-floor restaurant and entertainment complex that includes three live music stages and six bars, along with an open-air rooftop.

To enhance the atmosphere, This Bar is equipped with a cutting-edge sound system designed and installed by JAG Warner Productions, a Nashville-based company, within a tight timeline of just over two months. JAG Warner President Jake Warner commented on the efficiency of the project, noting, “We do things on this scale pretty regularly. This is our area of expertise.”

RCF USA played a crucial role in meeting the project deadline by coordinating shipments from its headquarters in New Jersey and its factory in Italy. Warner described the logistics as “seamless,” allowing for the timely sourcing of necessary components.

The sound system on the first floor features two arrays of six RCF HDL 28-A active line array modules and three SUB 9006-AS dual 18-inch active subwoofers positioned under the stage. Additionally, RCF TT 515-A two-way loudspeakers are used for front and under mezzanine fill. Warner emphasized that the sound experience is consistent throughout the venue, stating that they achieved an error tolerance for sound levels of plus or minus 1 dB across a span of nearly 70 feet.

The second floor, designed as a restaurant, utilizes RCF WMR 60-T two-way wall mount speakers to ensure even sound coverage of background music. The venue’s sound can seamlessly transition to live performance settings, thanks to Q-Sys technology, which allows for delayed stage focus while maintaining primary sound in the restaurant area.

The nightclub on the third floor features a larger mezzanine and a unique sound setup, with four HDL 28-A units on each side covering a 22-foot deep space. Warner highlighted the system’s ability to maintain consistent sound levels, incorporating 13 TT 515-A units for additional coverage. The stage is equipped with TT 25-A II cabinets and four TT+ Audio GTS 29 dual 19-inch subwoofers, allowing for versatile performances ranging from live bands to DJs.

The rooftop area is also designed to deliver quality sound, utilizing TT 25-A II active cabinets and SUB 9006-AS subwoofers, complemented by weatherproof speakers on the patio. The entire venue is interconnected by a robust Dante network, ensuring seamless control through Q-SYS integrated with RCF’s RDNET software. This state-of-the-art setup is designed to enhance the overall entertainment experience at This Bar.
