A tragic incident occurred yesterday on Nasovatava Road in Nadroga, resulting in the death of a four-year-old boy after being struck by a vehicle. Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro confirmed the event, which unfolded around 9 a.m. The victim, identified as Simione Cokanauto, was reportedly crossing the road when he was hit by Savenaca Narube, a 32-year-old digger operator from Nasovatava Village in Sigatoka.
Emergency services rushed the child to Loma Nursing Station in Sigatoka; however, he was pronounced dead upon arrival. Authorities are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding this heartbreaking event, aiming to uncover further details about the incident.
