Six individuals were detained early Sunday morning in Nadawa for purportedly selling liquor without the necessary license. The Southern Division Taskforce executed a raid at a shop where various types of liquor were confiscated during the operation.
The six suspects are currently in custody as investigations into the matter proceed. The Fiji Police Force has expressed gratitude for the community’s role in sharing information and has encouraged the public to report any instances of illegal liquor sales directly to Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations, Kasiano Vusonilawe, at 9904 905.
This operation highlights the ongoing efforts by law enforcement to combat illegal activities and ensure community safety. The collaboration between the police and local residents shows how collective vigilance can lead to positive outcomes for society.
