One hundred and twenty-four families residing at the Public Rental Board (PRB) property along Mead Road in Nabua have received notices to vacate within two months. PRB General Manager Timoci Naleba explained that the directive follows evaluations that found the housing structure, which has stood for over seventy years, to be unsafe due to its age. The decision underscores a commitment to tenant safety, a legal mandate necessitating timely relocation.
Efforts are being made to assist the affected families, with PRB working alongside the Housing Authority to prioritize these tenants in securing alternative accommodations.
