Bayern Munich’s Jamal Musiala scored a goal just 15 seconds into the match on Matchday 3 of the 2024/25 season against Holstein Kiel. Despite this impressive feat, it still falls short of the Bundesliga’s record for the fastest goal, which is shared by Karim Bellarabi and Kevin Volland, both of whom found the net in just nine seconds.
Volland set his record while playing for Hoffenheim against Bayern Munich at the beginning of the 2015/16 season. Even though his goal did not secure a victory for Hoffenheim, who lost 2-1, it cemented his place in Bundesliga history. Similarly, Bellarabi’s record-breaking goal came on August 23, 2014, when he scored for Bayer Leverkusen against Borussia Dortmund, helping his team to a 2-0 victory, thus making his achievement even more memorable.
Prior to those two record-setting goals, the fastest goal record stood at 11 seconds and was held by Bundesliga legends Ulf Kirsten, Giovane Élber, and Paul Freier. Musiala’s recent goal places him just outside the top 10 for the fastest goals in Bundesliga history, with only Élber and Lothar Matthäus scoring quicker for Bayern Munich.
Musiala’s quick goal showcased his skill as he gave Bayern a 1-0 lead in their recent match against Holstein Kiel.
