The 2024 MTV Video Music Awards are set to feature an exciting lineup of major artists, including Chappell Roan, Sabrina Carpenter, Megan Thee Stallion, and many others. The ceremony, hosted by Megan Thee Stallion, will mark the award show’s 40th anniversary and will take place live at New York’s UBS Arena on September 11, starting at 8 p.m. ET.
This year’s nominations are led by Taylor Swift, who has received ten nods across twelve categories. Among the performers are rising stars like Chappell Roan, nominated for Best New Artist, and Sabrina Carpenter, competing for Artist of the Year. Katy Perry is set to perform a medley of her greatest hits while receiving the Video Vanguard Award, and Eminem will kick off the show as the opening act.
Other notable performers scheduled to take the stage include Anitta, Camila Cabello, GloRilla, Halsey, Karol G, LISA, Rauw Alejandro, Shawn Mendes, and many more. Teddy Swims and Jessie Murph will also make their VMA debuts on the Extended Play Stage, while K-pop group Le Sserafim will perform at the pre-show, marking their first appearance at a U.S. award show.
