Mount Union’s football team is celebrating another significant achievement as they emerged victorious against Johns Hopkins with a score of 45-37. This win secures their spot in the Amos Alonzo Stagg Bowl, marking their 23rd appearance in this prestigious event. The Purple Raiders will compete for the NCAA Division III national championship against North Central or Susquehanna on January 5 in Houston.

In a standout performance, Tyler Echeverry shone bright, leading the charge with 183 rushing yards and three touchdowns. Other contributors included Darnell Williams, Shaun Thomas, and quarterback TJ DeShields, who also scored rushing touchdowns. DeShields further contributed by passing for 218 yards, with Tyrell Sanders making an impressive impact by catching seven passes for 148 yards.
