Catherine Hoggle, the mother of missing children Sarah and Jacob Hoggle, was indicted on two counts of first-degree murder on Thursday. The siblings, who were just 2 and 3 years old when they disappeared from Montgomery County in 2014, have not been seen since.

Their father, Troy Turner, has long believed that Hoggle was involved in their disappearance. He has dedicated the last decade to locating his children, stating, “I feel like my kids will be searched for until they’re found, or I’ll die looking for them,” conveying his unwavering commitment to finding Sarah and Jacob.

Following her initial charges, Hoggle was deemed incompetent to stand trial and subsequently had the charges dismissed. However, recent developments led to her indictment by a grand jury after she was discharged from a psychiatric facility in July, where she had been receiving treatment for paranoid schizophrenia. Hoggle was arrested in Kent County following this indictment.

Currently held at the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit, Hoggle’s legal representation claims that her detention is improper, arguing that her condition has not changed since the previous charges were dismissed. Meanwhile, state authorities have reiterated their intent to pursue the case.

The ongoing mystery of Sarah and Jacob’s disappearance continues to haunt their family. In a statement released by the family, they expressed their determination to seek justice, emphasizing the importance of respecting their privacy as they navigate these challenging circumstances. “We are following the latest developments closely and continue to work with authorities to seek justice for Sarah and Jacob,” they mentioned, underscoring their hope and commitment to finding resolution in this long-standing case.

The police have also confirmed that the investigation into the children’s disappearance is still active, with a reward of $10,000 offered for any information that could lead to a breakthrough.

The case remains heartbreaking not just for the Hoggle family but for the community, as they continue to hold onto hope for answers as the investigation proceeds.
