Charlotte — Country music star Morgan Wallen has postponed his Charlotte concerts due to illness.
Wallen was scheduled to perform at Bank of America Stadium on July 18 and 19.
“I hate to reschedule shows but I powered through being sick in Tampa last night, and unfortunately woke up feeling way worse today,” Wallen stated in a social media post on Friday afternoon.
Wallen announced that the Charlotte concerts will now take place on October 18 and 19. He also rescheduled his Tampa show to October 4.
Concert promoter Live Nation confirmed that tickets bought for the July 18 concert will be valid for the new date of October 18, and tickets for the July 19 concert will be valid for the October 19 date. More details will be emailed directly to ticket holders.
Ticket refund information has not yet been provided.
Wallen is the second artist to cancel a Charlotte performance recently. Willie Nelson also canceled his appearance at the Outlaw Music Festival due to health issues, following his doctor’s advice to rest.
