The Minnesota Star Tribune has launched an exciting new platform called MN Rising, which spotlights successful community initiatives across Minnesota. This effort aims to honor organizations that are making a significant difference at the local level.
MN Rising, pronounced “em-en-rising,” reflects the growing appetite among Minnesotans for positive stories that emphasize progress and community engagement. The initiative is rooted in Minnesota’s longstanding tradition of civic participation and philanthropy.
Paul Kasbohm, the chief revenue officer of the Minnesota Star Tribune, shared his enthusiasm about the new platform. “We’re excited to launch this new platform for Minnesota businesses to highlight their efforts that make our state a better place to live,” Kasbohm stated. MN Rising serves as a venue for communities to celebrate their successes and recognize those working behind the scenes, often unnoticed.
The platform, managed by Foundry North, the Star Tribune’s internal agency, focuses on impactful storytelling, addressing themes such as sustainability, climate action, education, equity, and workforce development. These narratives are crucial in showcasing how various organizations contribute to Minnesota’s advancements and the well-being of its communities.
Jon Christensen, the head of business development and strategy, emphasized the public’s desire for uplifting content. “Consumers are hungry for optimism,” he remarked, underscoring MN Rising’s role as a trusted platform for organizations to exhibit their positive impact.
Notable organizations such as Associated Healthcare Credit Union, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota, Children’s Minnesota, and many others are already featured on MN Rising. These organizations demonstrate the initiative’s mission by actively working to enhance the communities they serve.
Through MN Rising, the Minnesota Star Tribune is making strides to nurture community pride and shine a light on the crucial work carried out by local organizations. This initiative not only fosters a sense of belonging but also inspires continued engagement and collaboration among Minnesotans, paving the way for a brighter community future.
