Major League Baseball has revealed the uniforms for the upcoming 2025 All-Star Weekend, drawing inspiration from Truist Park in Atlanta, home of the Braves. These uniforms will be donned during the Gatorade workout day and the popular Home Run Derby, where participants will showcase their skills while wearing the All-Star uniforms.
In a recent shift back to tradition, MLB announced that players will wear their primary home or road jerseys during the actual All-Star Game for the first time since 2019. This reflects a historical practice that persisted from the 1930s until 2019, when special uniforms were introduced for the midsummer classic. The new designs feature the letters “AL” or “NL” emblazoned on the left chest, accented by red trim down the jersey and sleeves. National League players will sport a lighter shade of blue, while American League players will wear a darker hue. Each uniform includes a jock tag that signifies “ATL 2025” alongside the main colors of the design.
The caps for the event were also unveiled, with participants in the Home Run Derby wearing either a darker or lighter blue version, featuring a main star situated behind their team’s logo and two additional white stars positioned above. The All-Star Game caps follow a similar design, but without the star placement, matching the participating players’ team colors.
Scheduled to take place at Truist Park, the All-Star festivities will kick off on July 11, culminating in the game on July 15. Currently, New York Yankees’ Aaron Judge and Los Angeles Dodgers’ Shohei Ohtani are leading in the early voting.
This year marks an exciting return to tradition for the All-Star Game, which may add to the nostalgic experience for fans and players alike. The blend of modern design with classic elements reflects a celebration of the game and its storied history.
