A Florida woman reported missing in South Carolina has been located safely. Jessica Rapsys, 27, was reported missing earlier this week by authorities in Allendale County, situated between Augusta and Savannah. As confirmed by the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED), Rapsys is in the process of being taken to a hospital for evaluation.
On August 16, 2024, SLED reported that Rapsys was found unharmed in Allendale County. She had last been seen on August 13, 2024, in the same area, where her vehicle was discovered near railroad tracks in Martin, South Carolina, on the same night she went missing.
The Allendale County Sheriff’s Office expressed gratitude for the support received during the search, collaborating with multiple agencies, including the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources and local security services. Sheriff James Freeman remarked, “Finding Jessica was a team effort. We all worked together and did not give up hope.”
Following her recovery, Rapsys is being transported to a medical facility for any necessary treatment. Her family has thanked everyone involved in the search and has requested privacy as they navigate this situation.
Previously, SLED was asked to assist in locating Rapsys after she vanished. Her friend, Alanna Sabatini, shared her concerns, emphasizing Rapsys’s vibrant personality and the deep affection those in Jacksonville hold for her. Sabatini stated, “We just want her home.”
