Missing Florida Woman Found Safe in South Carolina

A Florida woman who had been missing in South Carolina has been found safe. Jessica Rapsys, 27, was reported missing earlier this week in Allendale County, which is located between Augusta and Savannah. The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) confirmed that Rapsys was located on August 16, 2024.

Rapsys was last seen on August 13, and her vehicle was discovered along railroad tracks that same night in Martin, South Carolina. The Allendale County Sheriff’s Office expressed gratitude to all those involved in the search, including SLED, the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources, and others. Sheriff James Freeman remarked on the collaborative effort, stating, “Finding Jessica was a team effort. We all worked together and did not give up hope.”

Rapsys is currently being taken to a hospital for evaluation and any necessary medical treatment. Her family has thanked everyone who contributed to her search and has requested privacy during this time.

Previously, the search for Rapsys began on the evening of August 13, when she was last seen in Allendale County. A friend of Rapsys, Alanna Sabatini, spoke to the media about her character, highlighting her vivaciousness and the strong bonds she has with people in Jacksonville. Authorities are asking anyone with relevant information to reach out to the Allendale County Sheriff’s Office or SLED.
