Family members have confirmed that missing Chicago Public Schools teacher Linda Brown was captured on video exiting her vehicle but did not return. Brown, who teaches at Robert Healy Elementary School, was reported missing on Saturday after last being seen in the vicinity of the 4500 block of South Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in Bronzeville, where she resides.

According to a relative, surveillance footage shows Brown arriving at the intersection of 35th and Lake Park in her car, stepping out, and walking across the pedestrian bridge to the lakefront without returning. Chicago police have not yet commented on this development.

Her husband, Antwon Brown, stated that he last saw Linda at their home on Friday night around midnight, and everything seemed normal at that time. He woke up around 8:30 a.m. the following day to find she was missing. Linda was scheduled to attend an acupuncture appointment in Wicker Park that morning, a commitment she rarely misses unless absolutely necessary. Antwon expressed deep concern, noting that she had recently taken a leave of absence from work for mental health treatment and had been dealing with increasing anxiety and panic attacks as the school year approached.

On Wednesday, authorities located the blue Honda that Linda was driving at the time of her disappearance, with no evident damage. CBS News Chicago reached out to the Chicago Police Department for confirmation of details but received no comments.

Linda Brown is described as 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing approximately 130 pounds, with brown hair and eyes, and a fair complexion. Authorities have indicated that she may be in need of medical attention.

Anyone with information regarding her whereabouts is urged to contact the Wentworth Area Special Victims Unit detectives at 312-747-8380. The community remains hopeful for Brown’s swift and safe return.
