Miss Universe Jamaica’s Gabrielle Henry Falls Off Stage During Preliminaries

Gabrielle Henry, the contestant representing Jamaica at the Miss Universe pageant, was taken away from the competition venue on a stretcher following a fall off the stage during the preliminary evening gown round in Thailand on November 19. Video footage circulating on social media shows Henry, 2025 Miss Universe Jamaica, walking in her orange gown and high heels before missing a step and falling completely off the stage.

Raul Rocha, the owner of the Miss Universe pageant, provided updates regarding Henry’s condition on his Instagram account. He confirmed that he visited her at the hospital and shared reassuring news: “I have just left the hospital where she is being treated,” he stated. “Thankfully, there are no broken bones, and she is under good care.”

The Miss Universe Jamaica Organization also issued a statement about Henry’s fall, revealing that she was transported to Paolo Rangsit Hospital for treatment. Fortunately, medical professionals have confirmed that she does not suffer from any life-threatening injuries, though additional tests are being conducted to ensure her complete recovery.

Prior to the fall, Henry shared her excitement on social media, posting moments of her journey to the event and getting glammed up for the preliminary rounds.

Interestingly, the Miss Universe event has seen its share of unexpected moments: during the national costume competition, contestant Danielle Latimer from Great Britain also took a tumble. She lightheartedly recounted the incident on her Instagram, saying, “I got a few gasps from the audience,” and she received kind words from fellow contestants, including Henry.

As the Miss Universe pageant approaches its finals, controversy continues to surround the event. Recently, executive Nawat Itsaragrisil was dismissed from his duties after a divisive livestream, leading to some contestants walking out of meetings with him. Moreover, there have been reports of judges withdrawing due to discontent with the organization’s decision-making processes.

While the incident involving Gabrielle Henry was alarming, updates indicate a positive trajectory for her recovery, reflecting the supportive spirit inherent within the competition’s community.
