The Miss Pacific Islands Pageant Secretariat has announced that FBC has been appointed as the official broadcaster for this year’s highly anticipated Miss Pacific Islands Pageant. This collaboration aims to bring the regional competition to viewers in Fiji and throughout the Pacific.
Pageant Director Ana Tuiketei expressed excitement about teaming up with FBC to provide top-tier television coverage for audiences both domestically and internationally. She noted that this partnership stems from a robust working relationship with Fiji’s national pageant organizers, who play a crucial role in facilitating the event.
As part of the preparations, queens from seven Pacific Island nations are set to arrive in Fiji this week, with contestants expected to reach the islands by Saturday. They will be welcomed in Nadi, where a variety of activities—including team-building exercises, cultural showcases, and behind-the-scenes previews—are scheduled to occur throughout the exciting pageant week.
The reigning Miss Pacific Islands from Samoa, Litiara Ellen, is also expected to make her arrival in Fiji on Friday. Tuiketei shared that preparations for the Fijian contestant are progressing positively, highlighting the dedication and commitment of Team Fiji. It is notable that it has been nearly ten years since Fiji last hosted the Miss Pacific Islands Pageant, with the last Fijian titleholder crowned in 2016.
Tickets for the pageant have officially gone on sale at Ticketmax, providing an opportunity for fans to join the celebration. FBC TV Manager Sitiveni Halofaki expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, affirming FBC’s dedication to enhancing broadcasting standards as Fiji’s national broadcaster. He also confirmed that the pageant will be aired on FBC TV and available for streaming through the Viti+ platform, expanding its reach to audiences in Fiji and 16 other countries around the globe.
