SMU senior guard Boopie Miller has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Men’s Basketball Player of the Week, while Duke freshman forward Cameron Boozer has secured the title of ACC Rookie of the Week for the week spanning December 29 to January 4. The announcement was made on Monday, highlighting the impressive performances of both players.

In a standout game against No. 12 North Carolina, Miller demonstrated his skill by posting game highs of 27 points and 12 assists, along with four rebounds and a steal. This performance was instrumental in SMU’s 97-83 victory over the ranked team. Notably, Miller’s 12 assists matched his career high, and he achieved an impressive shooting performance, hitting 10 of 13 shots from the field, including three of five from beyond the arc, while also converting four of five free throw attempts.

Boozer, recognized for the fifth time this season as ACC Rookie of the Week, continued to showcase his talent by averaging 21.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists, and 3.0 steals in victories over Georgia Tech and Florida State. His standout performance against Georgia Tech featured a seventh double-double of the season, where he accumulated 26 points and 12 rebounds. Against Florida State, he recorded 17 points, five rebounds, and a remarkable nine assists, marking the most assists in a game by a Duke player since 2023.

Week after week, these players continue to impress not only their schools but also the broader ACC community with their exceptional talent and contributions to their teams.
