In a remarkable feat, Vayntrub managed to raise $170,000 in just four days by selling exclusive photographs. These funds were directed towards helping a single mother named Bridget who had suffered significantly during the crisis. The money enabled Bridget to acquire essential medical equipment, buy clothing, find a new car, and secure a year’s worth of housing for herself and her disabled son. Bridget expressed heartfelt gratitude, stating, “It was the first time in a long time I felt seen. Like someone actually cared that we were still here, still fighting.”
Keen to expand her charitable efforts, Vayntrub continued her philanthropic work over the summer, collecting more than $350,000 in just one week by sharing additional exclusive images. She collaborated with the Altadena organization My Tribe Rise, which utilized the funds to create direct grants for other victims of the wildfires. Reflecting on her mission, Vayntrub shared, “This is the best thing I’ve ever been a part of. Thank you. Truly.”
