Patrick Chavez, who leads the Buena Tierra Run Club in Milwaukee, noted on Wednesday that the air quality has fluctuations, stating, “We’ve definitely had it worse before.” He emphasized the importance of sharing air quality alerts among group members, particularly for those with respiratory issues. Chavez encourages runners to take precautions, such as carrying inhalers, and to consider skipping workouts on days when air quality is poor.
Meteorologist Marc Chenard reported that satellite images reveal a significant band of smoke extending from northern Georgia all the way to New England, covering vast areas of the Ohio Valley and parts of the Upper Midwest.
