A busy midweek in Major League Soccer kicked off in Atlanta, where Atlanta United and Inter Miami ended in a 2-2 draw. New England also drew 2-2 at home against Montreal. Bobby Wood put the Revolution ahead in the 24th minute, and Esmir Bajraktaveric doubled their lead in the 35th. However, Montreal fought back with goals from Tom Pearce in the 53rd minute and Nathan Saliba in the 68th.
In a dominant performance, Philadelphia thrashed NYCFC 5-1 at Yankee Stadium. Tai Baribo opened the scoring in the 15th, followed by Mikkel Uhre in the 25th, and Daniel Gazdag in the 31st minute. Adrian Martinez temporarily halted the scoring five minutes into stoppage time, but Philadelphia added goals from Jakob Glesnes in the 74th and Jesus Bueno in the 85th.
Columbus maintained their momentum with a 2-0 win at Toronto, marked by Cucho Hernandez’s goal in the 51st minute, followed by Marcelo Herrera’s contribution in the 70th.
