Michigan International Speedway: A Thrilling Day of NASCAR Action Awaits!

Michigan International Speedway is set to host an exciting day of racing on Saturday, featuring over six hours of continuous action as both the NASCAR Truck Series and the NASCAR Cup Series take to the iconic 2-mile oval.

The day kicks off with the Craftsman Truck Series, where teams will qualify to establish the starting positions for their 125-lap race that commences at noon. This marks the Truck Series’ return to Michigan for the first time since August 7, 2020, adding to the excitement as it becomes one of six new tracks included in the 2025 schedule. Zane Smith, who previously won at this venue, will be a key contender.

Prior to the Truck race, drivers will participate in a Cup Series practice session at 9:30 a.m., followed by qualifying for the Sunday 200-lap race. Tyler Reddick, the defending champion at Michigan, will be looking to maintain his momentum.

Additionally, the NASCAR Cup Series is implementing a podium celebration for the top three finishers in both Cup and Xfinity races, a practice last seen during the Clash exhibition races at the LA Memorial Coliseum from 2022 to 2024. This change adds an element of fanfare and recognition for the top performers in the sport.

The schedule for Saturday is as follows (all times ET):

– 7:30 a.m. – 12 p.m.: Cup Garage open
– 6:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.: Truck Garage open
– 8:05 – 9 a.m.: Truck qualifying (FS1)
