One of the films Caine labels as one of his worst is “The Swarm,” a 1978 thriller about killer bees attacking Texas. Caine himself has stated that this film was “doomed” from the start, yet he reassured fans that it served a purpose: it helped him gain a foothold in the American film market.

Despite his earlier mistakes, Caine persisted and appeared in “Jaws: The Revenge” in 1987, the fourth installment of the infamous shark franchise. He humorously explained his motivation for taking on the role, stating that his mother needed a bigger house. He persisted in linking his career choices to familial obligations, saying, “I made Jaws 4 because she was lonely and I needed to buy her a bigger house, which she could live in with all of her friends.”

As Caine continued navigating his career, he reunited with his close friend Roger Moore for the 1990 comedy “Bullseye.” Although they enjoyed filming together, Caine candidly concluded that the film failed to entertain audiences. He described it in his memoir as a project that, despite the fun they had, brought little satisfaction to viewers: “No one got any pleasure from watching it, and it never came close to hitting any target.”
