A former star of “The Real Housewives of Potomac,” Mia Fields-Thornton, has been arrested at Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport. According to records from the Fulton County Jail, she faces a felony charge of theft by taking.
Atlanta police were alerted to Fields-Thornton’s presence at the airport after reports emerged of a wanted individual, leading officers to the Customs and Border Protection office where she was located. A police report reveals that Fields-Thornton is accused of stealing furniture from a condo she had rented on Marietta Street.
The management company of the condo claims that Fields-Thornton and an accomplice, identified as Jared McGriff, abruptly vacated the property in the early hours of October 28, taking furniture and a television with them. The estimated value of the stolen items is around $11,000.
In footage captured by police body cameras, Fields-Thornton acknowledged being aware of an arrest warrant issued against her. She first gained prominence on the Bravo reality series during its sixth season and made headlines in April when she revealed her decision to relocate to Atlanta, indicating that she would not be rejoining the cast.
As this situation unfolds, it serves as a vivid reminder that public figures, despite their fame, can encounter serious legal challenges.
