After a year-long tour promoting their 2023 album, “72 Seasons,” Metallica is set to continue their tour into next year, with exciting stops planned, including Philadelphia.
On Thursday, event organizers revealed that the tour will include four supporting acts: Pantera, Limp Bizkit, Suicidal Tendencies, and Ice Nine Kills. Fans can expect the band’s No Repeat Weekend tradition, which features entirely different opening acts and set lists for back-to-back shows.
The tour is scheduled to begin in April of next year, with Metallica performing two concerts at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia on May 23 and May 25, 2025.
Tickets go on sale starting Friday, September 27, 2024, at 10 a.m.
In addition to their Philadelphia shows, Metallica will return to Nashville for the first time in five years on May 1 and 3, 2025, and will perform in Tampa, Florida, for the first time in 15 years on June 6 and 8, 2025. The band will also host hometown performances in California’s Bay Area on June 20 and 22, 2025, in Santa Clara.
The upcoming tour will also include performances at college football stadiums in Syracuse, NY, and Blacksburg, VA. Furthermore, the M72 World Tour’s 2025 schedule features two festival headline sets, beginning with the opening night on April 12 at Sick New World in Las Vegas.
On May 9 and 11, Metallica will mark a special festival/No Repeat Weekend with two headline performances at Sonic Temple in Columbus, Ohio.
The M72 tour will also see the return of Metallica to Australia and New Zealand, with more details expected soon.
