Metallica has announced an extension of their record-breaking M72 World Tour, adding more North American dates for the Spring and Summer of 2025. The tour will maintain its innovative No Repeat Weekend and In the Round formats, with performances scheduled in Toronto, Nashville, Philadelphia, Tampa, and a special show in Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, in June.
In addition to the tour dates, Metallica will perform at the Sick New World Festival in Las Vegas on April 12, 2025, which will kick off their tour schedule for the year. The band is also set to headline the Sonic Temple event in Columbus, Ohio, adhering to the No Repeat Weekend format, featuring two distinct sets during the festival.
The M72 North American tour will feature support from acts such as Pantera, Limp Bizkit, Suicidal Tendencies, and Ice Nine Kills on select dates. Metallica has also revealed plans for a long-awaited return to Australia and New Zealand, with more details expected soon.
Citi cardmembers will have access to a special presale beginning Tuesday, September 24, at 10 am local time, running through Thursday, September 26, at 10 pm local time. Additionally, Verizon customers will benefit from an exclusive presale for the M72 tour via Verizon Access, starting September 24 at 10 am local time until September 26 at 10 pm local time.
