First Lady Melania Trump has consistently maintained a high level of privacy, even while her husband occupies arguably the most scrutinized role in the world. In a recent interview with FOX Business’ Maria Bartiromo, conducted ahead of the premiere of her new documentary titled “Melania” on January 30, she discussed her selective approach to public appearances and media coverage.

Melania emphasized her private nature, stating, “Everyone knows, I’m [a] very private and selective person.” She revealed that she agreed to be filmed around the inauguration period only under specific conditions.

The conversation turned to a critical moment in the documentary where she encourages President Trump to act as a unifying figure amidst a politically divided nation. Melania highlighted their open discussions about the significant challenges facing the country, explaining, “I give him my advice and, you know, we talk about that, and we could see that the country is divided.” She expressed her hope for a resolution to the ongoing societal pushback.

When asked about the president’s role in bringing Americans together, Melania described him as already making strides toward that goal, citing his priorities on public safety and border enforcement. “I think he’s doing a fantastic job. He had a great success. And he’s a unifier,” she stated, emphasizing his forward-looking approach to governance.

Public safety, according to Melania, is integral to her vision for America. She articulated the need for citizens to feel secure in their communities, stating, “He would like to have a country that all of the people can walk down the street and not to be harassed or murdered or women raped.” Melania pointed to past issues with border security and acknowledged the president’s efforts to address these concerns.

The interview also revealed a lighter side of the First Lady, as she noted that she does not always watch her husband on television due to her extensive workload. “I can’t. I have work to do. I’m not in front of TV. I work,” she explained, adding that her responsibilities often take her away from screens.

Through this interview, Melania Trump provided a rare insight into her personal philosophy, advocating for authenticity and purposeful expression. “It’s important what you have to say… when you true to yourself… listen yourself… speak when it’s important and not performing for the cameras… that’s the best,” she concluded, reflecting her commitment to her role behind the scenes.
