McDonald’s is revamping the nostalgic experience of its Happy Meals with the introduction of a new offering called Collector’s Meals, which officially launched on August 13. These meals come with a set of six collectible cups designed to evoke memories of beloved McDonald’s characters and themes.
According to company executive Morgan Flatley, the aim is to help customers relive cherished moments while providing an opportunity for a new generation to create their own lasting memories. The collectible cups feature designs inspired by iconic aspects of McDonald’s history, encouraging customers to seek out unique designs and complete their collections.
Collector’s Meals are available at participating locations throughout the U.S., and they can be purchased in-store, online, or via drive-thru. The meals are offered all day, allowing customers to collect cups whenever they choose.
For breakfast, a Collector’s Meal includes a sausage and egg sandwich, hash brown, and a hot coffee. During lunch, customers can select from a 10-piece nugget or a Big Mac, accompanied by fries and a drink.
The collectible cups highlight nostalgic designs, such as the 1998 Cowpoke McNugget Buddy and the 1993 McDonald’s Dragster. Other themes featured on the cups include Coca-Cola, Hello Kitty, Beanie Babies, Barbie, and popular movie franchises like Shrek and Jurassic Park. Each purchase of a Collector’s Meal includes one collectible cup, making it easy for fans to add to their collections.
