Fast food leader McDonald’s has announced that its $5 meal deal will be available for several more weeks. According to a memo, most U.S. McDonald’s locations have chosen to continue this promotion, which initially started on June 25 for four weeks.

The meal deal will be accessible at approximately 93% of restaurants across the country, though the duration of the promotion may differ by location, with some extending it until August.

As consumers face rising food prices, particularly in fast casual dining, the McDonald’s meal bundle has become a popular choice that is benefiting the company. A recent analysis from foot traffic firm Placer.ai revealed that the introduction of the meal deal led to a significant increase in customer visits to McDonald’s locations, indicating that the promotion is appealing to customers.

The successful deal has prompted other fast casual chains to respond with their own value offerings. Arby’s has introduced a $9 bundle, while Sonic has launched a permanent $1.99 value menu. Taco Bell recently unveiled a limited-time $7 Luxe Cravings Box alongside its existing $5 Taco Discovery Box and Cravings Value Menu.

Moreover, Burger King announced that its $5 “Your Way Meal” would be available for an extended period, having previously introduced new items as part of its “Fiery Menu.” Wendy’s also joined the fray with a $3 breakfast bundle and has introduced a $5 combo known as the “Biggie Bag.”
