Fast food giant McDonald’s is extending its $5 meal deal for a few more weeks.

Bloomberg, citing a memo from the chain, reported that a majority of U.S.-based McDonald’s restaurants have agreed to extend the promotion beyond the initial four-week window, which began on June 25.

The bundle will continue to be offered at approximately 93% of restaurants nationwide. The length of the promotion will vary by location, with some extending the deal until August.

At a time when consumers are grappling with elevated food prices, especially for fast casual dining options, the McDonald’s bundle is proving beneficial for the company.

Earlier this month, foot traffic analytics firm Placer.ai found that the chain saw a substantial boost in foot traffic across its restaurants after deploying the bundle, demonstrating that the deal was a hit with consumers.

The deal has also prompted other fast casual dining chains to offer their own bargains. Arby’s has introduced a $9 bundle, Sonic has added a permanent $1.99 value menu, and Taco Bell unveiled a $7 Luxe Cravings Box and continues to offer a $5 Taco Discovery Box and a Cravings Value Menu.

In late May, Burger King announced that its $5 “Your Way Meal” bundle would last longer than McDonald’s offering. Earlier that month, it added new items to its “Fiery Menu.”

Wendy’s has also joined the competition with a $3 breakfast bundle and subsequently introduced a $5 combo called the “Biggie Bag.”
