McDonald’s has announced that it will be extending its popular $5 meal deal for several additional weeks. According to a memo from the fast-food chain, a majority of its U.S. locations have agreed to continue the promotion, which initially began on June 25.

The meal bundle will remain available at approximately 93% of McDonald’s restaurants across the country, although the duration of the promotion may vary by location. Some franchises have chosen to keep the deal active until August.

As consumers face higher food prices, particularly in the fast-casual dining sector, the McDonald’s bundle has been well-received and has proven beneficial for the company. Foot traffic analytics firm Placer.ai noted a significant increase in customers visiting McDonald’s after the promotion was introduced, indicating that the deal has struck a chord with consumers.

The success of McDonald’s promotional offer has drawn attention from other fast-casual dining chains, prompting them to introduce their own value deals. For instance, Arby’s has rolled out a $9 meal bundle, and Sonic has added a permanent $1.99 value menu. Taco Bell announced a limited-time $7 Luxe Cravings Box in addition to its $5 Taco Discovery Box and Cravings Value Menu.

In late May, Burger King stated that its $5 “Your Way Meal” would be available for a longer period than the McDonald’s offering, while also introducing new items as part of its “Fiery Menu.” Wendy’s has joined the promotional fray with a $3 breakfast bundle and a $5 combo called the “Biggie Bag.”
