McDonald’s is extending its popular $5 meal deal for several more weeks, following positive response from customers. According to reports, a majority of McDonald’s locations in the U.S. have agreed to prolong the promotion, which initially started on June 25.

This meal bundle will continue to be available at approximately 93% of McDonald’s restaurants across the country, although the duration of the offer may vary by location, with some extending it until August.

With consumers facing rising food prices, especially in fast casual dining, the McDonald’s deal has proven successful for the company. Analytics from Placer.ai indicated a significant increase in foot traffic to McDonald’s locations shortly after the deal’s launch, highlighting its appeal to diners.

The success of McDonald’s promotion has prompted similar responses from other fast casual dining chains. Arby’s has introduced a $9 bundle, while Sonic has created a permanent $1.99 value menu. Taco Bell has also joined the trend, recently announcing a limited-time $7 Luxe Cravings Box, alongside its existing $5 Taco Discovery Box.

Additionally, Burger King has indicated that its $5 “Your Way Meal” bundle will remain in effect for a longer period than McDonald’s deal. They also announced new items under their “Fiery Menu.” Wendy’s is responding with a $3 breakfast bundle and a $5 combo known as the “Biggie Bag.”
