McDonald’s is extending its $5 meal deal for several more weeks, according to a memo reported by Bloomberg. The promotion, which originally started on June 25, will continue to be available at approximately 93% of McDonald’s locations across the United States. The duration of the deal will vary by location, with some restaurants choosing to keep the offer active until August.

As consumers face higher food prices, particularly in fast casual dining, this bundle has proven beneficial for McDonald’s. A recent analysis from foot traffic analytics firm Placer.ai revealed that the introduction of the $5 meal deal significantly increased customer visits to McDonald’s outlets, indicating strong consumer interest.

The success of McDonald’s deal has prompted other fast casual dining chains to respond with their own promotions. Arby’s has introduced a $9 meal bundle, while Sonic now features a permanent $1.99 value menu. Taco Bell recently announced a limited-time $7 Luxe Cravings Box alongside its existing $5 Taco Discovery Box and Cravings Value Menu.

Additionally, Burger King revealed that its $5 “Your Way Meal” would have a longer duration than McDonald’s offering, and it has also expanded its menu with new items attributed to its “Fiery Menu.” Meanwhile, Wendy’s has launched a $3 breakfast bundle and has also introduced a $5 combo called the “Biggie Bag.”
