McDonald’s has decided to extend its popular $5 meal deal for several more weeks. According to a memo cited by Bloomberg, many of the chain’s U.S. locations have agreed to continue the promotion beyond the initial four-week period that started on June 25.

The affordable meal bundle will be available at approximately 93% of McDonald’s locations across the country, although the duration of the promotion may differ by restaurant, with some extending it until August.

As consumers face rising food prices, particularly in the fast casual dining sector, McDonald’s deal has proven to be beneficial for the company. A recent analysis by foot traffic firm Placer.ai indicated a noticeable increase in restaurant visits shortly after the bundle’s introduction, suggesting that the offer has resonated well with customers.

This promotion has prompted other fast casual dining establishments to respond with their own deals. For example, Arby’s has introduced a $9 meal bundle, while Sonic has launched a permanent $1.99 value menu. Taco Bell has also entered the competition by offering a limited-time $7 Luxe Cravings Box alongside its existing $5 Taco Discovery Box and Cravings Value Menu.

Burger King previously announced that its own $5 “Your Way Meal” will extend beyond the McDonald’s promotion, with additional new menu items included in its “Fiery Menu.” Wendy’s has joined in with its own offers, featuring a $3 breakfast bundle and a $5 combo called the “Biggie Bag.”
