McDonald’s is set to extend its popular $5 meal deal for several more weeks. According to a memo reported by Bloomberg, a majority of McDonald’s locations in the U.S. have agreed to continue the promotion beyond its initial four-week launch, which began on June 25.

This meal bundle will be available at approximately 93% of McDonald’s restaurants nationwide, with the duration of the offer varying by location. Some outlets may continue the promotion until August.

As consumers face rising food costs, particularly in the fast-casual dining sector, the McDonald’s deal has proven beneficial for the company. Foot traffic analytics firm Placer.ai noted that the launch of the bundle significantly increased visitor numbers to its restaurants shortly after the promotion began, highlighting its appeal to customers.

The success of this promotion has prompted other fast-casual dining chains to respond with their own value deals. For instance, Arby’s is offering a $9 meal bundle, while Sonic has introduced a permanent $1.99 value menu. Taco Bell is also participating by providing a $7 Luxe Cravings Box for a limited period, alongside its existing $5 Taco Discovery Box.

In late May, Burger King announced that its own $5 “Your Way Meal” would have a longer duration than the McDonald’s offer, and also introduced new items under its “Fiery Menu.” Meanwhile, Wendy’s has launched a $3 breakfast bundle and a $5 combo known as the “Biggie Bag,” seeking to attract budget-conscious diners.
