McDonald’s is extending its $5 meal deal for several more weeks, according to a memo reported by Bloomberg. This promotion, which initially launched on June 25, has been popular among consumers facing rising food prices. A significant number of McDonald’s locations in the U.S. have opted to continue the deal, which will be available at approximately 93% of restaurants across the country. The duration of the promotion may vary based on location, with some restaurants extending it until August.

Since the introduction of the bundle, foot traffic analytics firm Placer.ai has noted a considerable increase in visitors to McDonald’s locations, suggesting that the deal is appealing to customers. The success of this promotion has prompted other fast casual dining chains to respond. Arby’s has introduced a $9 bundle, while Sonic has launched a permanent $1.99 value menu. Taco Bell recently announced a $7 Luxe Cravings Box, alongside its existing $5 Taco Discovery Box and Cravings Value Menu.

Earlier this year, Burger King revealed that its $5 “Your Way Meal” would last longer than McDonald’s promotion and introduced new items under its “Fiery Menu.” Wendy’s is also participating in the competitive landscape with a $3 breakfast bundle and a $5 combo known as the “Biggie Bag.”
