McDonald’s has decided to extend its popular $5 meal deal for several more weeks across many of its U.S. locations. According to Bloomberg, a memo from the fast food chain revealed that most McDonald’s restaurants in the U.S. will continue the promotion that initially started on June 25.

The deal will be available in about 93% of restaurants nationwide, although the duration of the promotion may vary by location, with some extending it until August.

This extension comes at a time when many consumers are facing higher food prices, particularly in the fast-casual dining sector. The $5 bundle has proven beneficial for McDonald’s, as foot traffic analytics firm Placer.ai reported a significant increase in customer visits following the introduction of the deal.

Other fast-casual dining chains are taking note of McDonald’s success and are launching their own promotions in response. Arby’s has introduced a $9 meal bundle, while Sonic has implemented a permanent $1.99 value menu. Taco Bell has announced a limited-time $7 Luxe Cravings Box alongside its existing $5 Taco Discovery Box and Cravings Value Menu.

In late May, Burger King announced that its own $5 meal bundle would be available for a longer duration than McDonald’s deal, and the company is also adding new items to its “Fiery Menu.” Wendy’s has joined the competition with a $3 breakfast bundle and a $5 combo known as the “Biggie Bag.”
