Fast food chain McDonald’s has decided to extend its popular $5 meal deal for several additional weeks. According to a memo reported by Bloomberg, many McDonald’s locations in the U.S. have agreed to continue the promotion beyond its initial four-week launch, which began on June 25.

The $5 bundle will remain available at approximately 93% of McDonald’s restaurants across the country, though the duration of the promotion will vary by location, with some restaurants planning to offer it until August.

This move comes at a time when consumers are facing higher food prices, especially in the fast casual dining sector. The McDonald’s bundle has proven beneficial for the company, as evidenced by a recent report from foot traffic analytics firm Placer.ai. Following the launch of the promotion, McDonald’s noticed a significant increase in customer visits, highlighting the deal’s appeal to consumers.

In response to McDonald’s successful offer, other fast casual dining chains have started to roll out their own promotions. Arby’s has introduced a $9 bundle, while Sonic has established a permanent $1.99 value menu. Taco Bell recently announced its limited-time $7 Luxe Cravings Box, in addition to its $5 Taco Discovery Box and Cravings Value Menu.

Earlier in May, Burger King announced that its $5 “Your Way Meal” would be available for a longer duration than McDonald’s deal and introduced new items on its “Fiery Menu.” Additionally, Wendy’s has joined the promotional trend with a $3 breakfast bundle and a $5 combo called the “Biggie Bag.”
