McDonald’s is set to continue its popular $5 meal deal for a few more weeks. According to Bloomberg, which referenced a memo from the fast food chain, most McDonald’s locations in the U.S. have decided to extend the promotion beyond its initial four-week period that began on June 25.

The $5 bundle will be available at approximately 93% of restaurants across the country. However, the duration of the deal may vary depending on the location, with some outlets choosing to maintain the offer until August.

In light of rising food prices, especially in the fast casual dining sector, this promotion has proven successful for McDonald’s. A report from foot traffic analytics firm Placer.ai indicated a significant increase in customer visits to the chain’s restaurants shortly after the $5 bundle was introduced, highlighting its appeal to consumers.

The promotion has also prompted other fast casual dining establishments to respond with their own discounts. For instance, Arby’s has launched a $9 bundle, while Sonic has introduced a permanent $1.99 value menu. Taco Bell announced a limited-time $7 Luxe Cravings Box and continues to offer its $5 Taco Discovery Box, along with the Cravings Value Menu.

Additionally, Burger King recently extended its $5 “Your Way Meal” beyond the McDonald’s promotion, and announced new items as part of its “Fiery Menu.” Wendy’s has also joined the fray with a $3 breakfast bundle and a $5 combo known as the “Biggie Bag.”
