After an eight-year hiatus, McDonald’s is set to reintroduce the popular Snack Wrap, now rebranded as the “McCrispy Snack Wrap.” The announcement, made by McDonald’s USA President Joe Erlinger, confirms that this fan-favorite item will return in 2025, as part of the new McCrispy line, which will be available globally.
Erlinger noted the immense demand for the Snack Wrap, highlighting the numerous emails he receives from eager fans. The original Snack Wrap was launched in 2006 and was rooted in a delectable offering of grilled or crispy chicken paired with ranch or honey mustard sauce. A beef variant briefly joined the lineup but was discontinued in 2013.
The Snack Wrap was removed from the menu in 2016, largely due to the lengthy preparation process required for its assembly, which involved steaming tortillas and finely chopping chicken.
The decision to revive the Snack Wrap is also a testament to the influence of social media and the passionate community of McDonald’s fans. Senior Marketing Director Guillame Huin acknowledged the fans’ dedication, stating that their posts, requests, and petitions directly impacted the decision-making process for bringing the item back to the menu.
This return is not only a relief for fans but also highlights the power of consumer feedback in shaping product offerings. The exact launch date in 2025 is still pending, but excitement is already building for this long-awaited comeback of a beloved menu item.
As McDonald’s plans its re-entry into Snack Wrap territory, it reflects a positive trend in the fast-food industry, where companies are becoming more responsive to customer preferences. This evolution signals hope for other beloved items that may be reconsidered based on fan demand in the future.
