McDonald’s has announced an extension of its popular $5 meal deal for several more weeks. According to a memo reported by Bloomberg, most McDonald’s locations in the U.S. have agreed to keep the promotion going beyond its original four-week period, which began on June 25.

This meal bundle will be available at approximately 93% of the restaurant locations nationwide, although the duration of the promotion may vary from one location to another, with some restaurants choosing to extend the offer until August.

As consumers face rising food prices, particularly in the fast casual dining sector, this McDonald’s deal has proven beneficial for the company. Foot traffic analytics firm Placer.ai highlighted that following the launch of the bundle, McDonald’s experienced a noticeable increase in customer visits, demonstrating its appeal to customers.

The success of this promotion has prompted other fast casual dining chains to react. Arby’s has introduced a $9 bundle, while Sonic has unveiled a permanent $1.99 value menu. Taco Bell announced a limited-time $7 Luxe Cravings Box alongside its existing $5 Taco Discovery Box and Cravings Value Menu.

In addition, Burger King has stated that its $5 “Your Way Meal” bundle will extend beyond the duration of McDonald’s offer. Earlier in May, with the announcement of new items on its “Fiery Menu,” Wendy’s launched its own $3 breakfast bundle and a $5 combo known as the “Biggie Bag.”
