McDonald’s $5 Meal Deal Gets Extended: What You Need to Know!

McDonald’s, the fast-food powerhouse, has decided to extend its popular $5 meal deal for several more weeks across the United States. According to a memo reported by Bloomberg, the majority of U.S. locations will keep the promotion alive, which initially launched on June 25 and was set to last for four weeks.

This meal bundle will remain available at approximately 93% of McDonald’s restaurants nationwide, although the duration of the promotion may differ depending on the location, with some franchises opting to continue the deal until August.

As consumers face rising food costs, particularly in the fast casual dining sector, the $5 deal has proven to be beneficial for McDonald’s. A recent analysis by foot traffic analytics firm Placer.ai showed a significant increase in customer visits to the chain following the introduction of the meal bundle, highlighting its appeal among consumers.

The success of McDonald’s offer has prompted rival fast casual chains to introduce their own competitive deals. Arby’s has launched a $9 meal bundle, while Sonic has established a permanent $1.99 value menu. Additionally, Taco Bell is providing a limited-time $7 Luxe Cravings Box, alongside its existing $5 Taco Discovery Box and Cravings Value Menu.

Meanwhile, Burger King announced that its $5 “Your Way Meal” bundle would be available longer than McDonald’s offering, and earlier in the month, it unveiled new items as part of its “Fiery Menu.” Wendy’s has also joined the discount trend, rolling out a $3 breakfast bundle and a $5 combo known as the “Biggie Bag.”
