Fast food leader McDonald’s will continue its $5 meal deal for a few additional weeks, according to a report. The promotion, which initially launched on June 25, has received support from the majority of U.S.-based McDonald’s locations to extend beyond its original four-week timeframe.

The meal deal will be available at approximately 93% of McDonald’s restaurants across the nation, although the exact duration of the promotion may differ by location, with some extending it until August.

As consumers face rising food costs, particularly in the fast casual dining sector, this bundle has proven beneficial for McDonald’s. Foot traffic data from analytics firm Placer.ai indicated that the introduction of the meal deal resulted in a significant increase in visitors to their locations, showing that the offer has resonated well with customers.

The success of McDonald’s deal has prompted other fast casual dining establishments to respond with their own promotions. For instance, Arby’s has introduced a $9 bundle, and Sonic has launched a permanent $1.99 value menu. Taco Bell announced a $7 Luxe Cravings Box for a limited period alongside a $5 Taco Discovery Box and its Cravings Value Menu.

Additionally, Burger King recently stated that its $5 “Your Way Meal” will extend longer than the McDonald’s offering and plans to introduce new menu items under its “Fiery Menu.” Wendy’s has also joined the competitive pricing scene with a $3 breakfast bundle and a $5 combo known as the “Biggie Bag.”
