McDonald’s is extending its popular $5 meal deal for several more weeks. According to a memo from the fast-food chain, a majority of its U.S. locations have agreed to keep the promotion active beyond the initial four-week period that began on June 25.

The bundle will be available at about 93% of McDonald’s restaurants nationwide, though the duration of the promotion may differ by location, with some extending the deal until August.

In the current environment where consumers are facing high food prices, particularly in fast casual dining options, the McDonald’s bundle has proven successful for the company. A recent analysis by foot traffic analytics firm Placer.ai revealed that there was a noticeable increase in foot traffic at McDonald’s locations shortly after the introduction of the deal, indicating its positive reception among customers.

This promotion has prompted other fast casual dining establishments to respond with their own offers. Arby’s has launched a $9 meal bundle, while Sonic has introduced a permanent $1.99 value menu. Taco Bell has also joined the competition, announcing a limited-time $7 Luxe Cravings Box, alongside its existing $5 Taco Discovery Box and Cravings Value Menu.

Moreover, Burger King previously indicated that its $5 “Your Way Meal” bundle would remain available for a longer period than McDonald’s deal, while also introducing new items as part of its “Fiery Menu.” Wendy’s is participating in the trend as well, offering a $3 breakfast bundle and a $5 combo named the “Biggie Bag.”
